Loft Property did a total conversion of our 5-bed property. They totally gutted the place and remodelled it for us. A huge job! They managed absolutely everything from the building work, plumbing, electrics, carpentry through to the decorating and finishing. They were fabulous. Billy has an excellent idea in terms of what works and what doesn’t. And came to the project with lots of value adding ideas like putting vaulted ceilings in the hall. The firm’s attention to detail was second to none and they take pride in their work. There was only 1 wall in the house that didn’t need to come down, but Billy said it should come down anyway and be rebuilt (at his own cost) as it would result in a better finish. One final thing they are also easy to get hold of. They always answer the phone! We have recommended them to 2 other people who have used them and been very happy!

I would recommend Billy and his team. You will not meet a nicer or more reliable team of builders. They worked extremely hard on my loft extension and were kind and courteous to me and my two small children. They are also very tidy builders and never left the house anything other than clean when they left at night. They created a beautiful large bedroom with a lovely en suite bathroom out of a loft I had previously thought too small to convert. Billy is a skilled builder who has great vision and design and uses space to the maximum effect. He also uses quality professionals as part of his team (roofer, plumber, plasterer and electrician were all very good). My conversion took six weeks. I would not hesitate recommending Loft Property or using them again.

House extensions are a stressful task and more so if you have a young family who are going to live in the same house all through the construction phase. This is patently true unless you happen to be one of the lucky few who end up getting the services of a builder like Billy! Contrary to my apprehensions, Billy and his team worked like clockwork and provided us with a high-quality product with minimal fuss during the entire period of 4 months. And when I think of it, a lot happened during that period including tear-down of garage and support walls, rear extension, kitchen installation, bathroom refurbishment, underfloor heating, electric connections and much more that still seems daunting except for the fact that Billy just made a difficult job look easy. I also appreciate the fact that he went out of his way to help in tasks that were not strictly his remit such as helping in moving stuff around and sometimes changing his schedule to accommodate specific requests from us. We have found no major issues in the few months after the work completed and what little there have been, we have found Billy responsive to these. I wholeheartedly recommend Billy as the go-to man for anyone wishing to have a painless and delightful house extension experience!

All staff were professional, helpful and friendly. With lots of workman on site, always in and out of the house, they were identifiable in their red logo’d t-shirts – even sub-contractors. The project management was excellent – there was very rarely a day when work stalled because we were waiting for another stage to be completed. Communication too was excellent, we always knew who was coming the following day and Billy or Jennie were always at the end of a phone or email if and when we needed them. The build was expected to last 10 weeks and despite us adding quite a few extra things – like underfloor heating and a porch it came in pretty much on time. The snag list was systematically worked through and in the last week the house was cleared, cleaned, hoovered and dusted which exceeded my expectations of what I was expecting when told “rubbish to be cleared from site”. I’m so happy with the end result and the level of finish – from the plastering to the carpentry to the decorating. From the outside it’s hard to tell there’s been an extension. The wall hanging tiles match the existing house almost perfectly. Extra touches throughout the project like a cupboard around my new boiler, decorative panelling in the door recesses to match existing shutters and rounding off of boxing in corners with my 3 year old in mind all made a huge difference and it felt like the workman treated the finishing like they would if it was their property. As for cost – what was quoted before the work started was what we paid. There were no hidden extras or last payments shocks. Obviously I’m over the moon to have my new extension finished and be back home but I do have a slight feeling of empty nest after getting to know such a friendly team over the past 3 months!
